The Truth Behind Me

I went school at Wyvern College in Salisbury i wasn't really best at school, i loved playing sports but always got picked last except for rugby but that's probably because I'm tall and bulky. Me and Ian were best mates at school and we both did the Three peaks Challenge in 2001 and we both found it very challenging... I also knew Dave at school as we were both in the same year and now after all these years i bump into him at the gym

After my 5yr career at Game i turned to Phones 4 u in which at the time was very surprising to me as i didn't really see myself as a salesmen, any way i gave it my all again working from part time to full time, admin to admin manager and then ended it as a shop floor controller in the there flag ship store in Southampton High Street. Amongst that time i had learnt many skills plus earned lots of money hitting all my personal goals from being top 3 in the company for sales and top 3 in Audit Scores.
After 3 glorious years at Phones4 u i got head hunted to be a manager for Tesco Mobile in Bournemouth, this was a big moment for me, i took all my knowledge and went for it. i was at the Bournemouth store for around 1 year breaking all the company records and leading the company with sales and showing the true potential and power of the phone shop. I then asked to go to a low profile store so i can challenge myself and do the same over the other 2 yrs i managed to do exactly that. Havant was now the leaders of the company knocking my old store off the top. During my success i met with the CEO and Sales directors sharing ideas and experiences with in the Phone Shops. After being with Tesco mobile for 3 years i wanted a new challenge so i choose Orange at the time there was only Assistant Manager at there flag ship store in Southampton West Quay so i took it. I manage up to the volume of 14 staff members in which i love the environment I'm in currently. I have been there for about 2 years and then we turned 'ee' and i was offered the opportunity to run a store in my home town in Salisbury so i took it, its situated where the old T-Mobile store used to be on the Poultry Cross.

And that's really all about me. Nothing interesting really. I have one favourite saying and that's
 'He Who Dares, Wins'

The Truth Behind Me Doing This

This is my dad's side of the family so from the right is my Grandad (Brian Brown who fell victim to skin cancer and died from it) then my Dad (Doug Brown who got diagnosed of skin cancer however luckily had treatment Early on and now is testing OK) then there is me followed by brother (Darren Brown who lives in Australia)

This is my mum's parents from the left is my Gran (Hazel Chatfield) who had breast cancer and on the right is my grandad (Pete Chatfield) who recently got diagnosed of lung cancer.

Grandparents mean alot to me as they are always there for you when your growing up, they are also there telling stories about the past.

For this reason i stand tall for them, here and now when they need me!!

That's why i have chosen the Macmillan Cancer Support

Cancer is everywhere and it is horrible and scary when it hits, that's why i have chosen to help raise money and awareness for for the Macmillan cancer support, this year we will be doing many challenging events like walking 50miles from Salisbury to Bournemouth, Walking Salisbury to Southampton and competing various other challenging activities in the hope that over the next 12months or so we will raise at least £3000, during these events if other people want to join in then that would be terrific. The Macmillan Cancer Support group are there to help and support so this horrible feeling that people get stops and that hope gets restored.

I have a donation page in which anyone can donate from as little as 1p, the team and i are really passionate about what we are going to do this year and we would love your support. If you do want to donate then please donate here .
